Rely Health’s Founding Story

While working with Robinhood to modernize finance and Stripe to transform consumer purchasing, Prithvi Narasimhan encountered a personal crisis that highlighted the flaws in the healthcare system. A family member battling cancer struggled to navigate the complex healthcare landscape, missing vital appointments and opportunities for proactive care. This experience sparked a pivotal question for Prithvi: Why does healthcare lag in user experience while other industries benefit from modern technological advancements?

Soham More, Prithvi's undergraduate peer, had research experience at Moores Cancer Center and Stanford Health and was on the cusp of entering medical school. His time working in venture capital with Contrary Capital and Bullpen Capital led him to a critical insight: technology could potentially impact patient lives more profoundly than any individual physician could.

Driven by their shared vision, Prithvi and Soham co-founded Sympto Health, a technology infrastructure company dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare. They focused on supporting social workers, care navigators, peer specialists, and other roles managing patient relationships, especially in coordinating care and guiding patients through their healthcare journeys. Sympto Health started by leveraging modern tools such as SMS and email channels and expanded to incorporate AI-driven phone calls that could manage complete end-to-end navigation tasks.

The turning point came with a merger with Vituity's Healthful, where Tarren Evans and Melissa Maranda founded a successful care navigation model that provided staffing for relationship-focused roles in healthcare. This merger created a synergy between cutting-edge technology and the human touch essential for effective care coordination.

These combined strengths allow Rely Health to effectively complement and enhance overwhelmed care management teams that can typically only offer services to a small percentage of the most severe cases. By offering a unique blend of technological innovation and human expertise, Rely partners with providers across the healthcare spectrum to ensure that ALL patients receive the attention and have the resources they need to navigate their healthcare journey.
